About This Site, Me, etc
About me
This website is written by Dean Gardner (that's me). I do this as a hobby and am working towards making it a career. I know HTML, CSS, Design/Usability, Apache, Linux, and SSI. Next on my list of things to learn are JavaScript and PHP. If you want to learn more "about me" (I can't imagine why), hang in there and I'll see about adding some more information later.
About this website
The site uses HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and a little bit of PHP (Pre Hypertext Processor). Everything you see was typed out manually and composed in Notepad — a plain text editor. What that means is I did not cheat by letting some wussy program do the work for me. 
To see what working in Notepad looks like, "Right-Click" (or its equivalent) here and then choose "View Source" (or its equivalent). What you'll see is the HTML, but that's only half of the story. The CSS is in another file and looks something like this.

This website is best viewed with whatever browser and screen resolution you happen to be using at the moment. I trust you are using the best options available to you; and therefore that's the best way for you to view this site. In other words, I wrote this site so that it should display correctly for whatever system you are using.
